On February 2, 2026, at approximately 0505 hours, officers were dispatched to [ADDRESS REDACTED], New Hope, Hennepin County regarding a stabbing. The caller to 911, Witness [NAME REDACTED], reported picking up a male from the street because he "saw him bleeding" and having "a big hole in his neck." Victim [NAME REDACTED] was transported to North Memorial Medical Center for treatment by Witness [NAME REDACTED] At the hospital, Victim [NAME REDACTED] told officers that he had gotten into an argument with his wife, Latasha Latrice Webster, [DOB REDACTED] (now referred to as "Defendant"), earlier that night.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] reported Defendant accused him of cheating on her and they got into a heated argument. Victim [NAME REDACTED] reported that Defendant grabbed a butcher knife and stabbed him in the side of the neck and struck him in the back of the head with a bottle. Victim [NAME REDACTED] said he ran out onto the street and started flagging cars down for help, and that is when Witness [NAME REDACTED] picked him up and brought him to the hospital. Defendant was initially arrested but the hold expired prior to having charges filed.
Officers spoke with Defendant after reading the Miranda Warning. Defendant denied stabbing Victim [NAME REDACTED] but did admit there was an altercation. Defendant stated it was Victim [NAME REDACTED] who pulled out the knife, but Defendant gave several conflicting statements. Victim [NAME REDACTED] also had made no attempt to call 911 in the hours that had passed before officers made contact with her. A search warrant was signed, and a steak knife and tequila bottle were located at the address. Medical records have not yet been received.
A warrant is requested in the interest of public safety.
