Your complainant is Investigator Jordan Myhre with the Medina Police Department. In that capacity, your complainant has read the police reports of Medina Police Sergeant Kevin Boecker and believes the following to be true: On November 21, 2025, at approximately 7:05 P.M., Sergeant Boecker spoke with T. J., an employee of Highway 55 Liquor located at 200 Highway 55 in the City of Medina, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. T. J. Reported that he had just confiscated a fake ID from an underage person who had attempted to purchase alcohol.
Sergeant Boecker went to Highway 55 Liquor and spoke with T. J., who stated that an underage male later identified as Evan Roy Grove, [DOB REDACTED] (18 years old), entered Highway 55 Liquor and attempted to purchase a 750 ml bottle of Skrewball whiskey and a 12 pack of Smirnoff Ice Red, White and Berry. T. J. Asked Defendant for his ID. Defendant presented an ID in the name of Evan Roy Grove, [DOB REDACTED]. T. J. Examined the ID and observed that the feature of a fish did not look right to him.
T. J. Confiscated the ID and informed Defendant he was not selling Defendant the alcohol. Defendant walked away and exited the store. T. J. Stated that the picture on the fraudulent ID matched Defendant. Sergeant Boecker went to his squad car and conducted a computerized search on Evan Roy Grove and compared the picture on the fraudulent ID with Defendant’s driver’s license photograph and observed that they matched. Sergeant Boecker then learned that Defendant’s date of birth was actually November 20, 2007. Sergeant Boecker learned that Defendant lives at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in the City of Orono.
Sergeant Boecker went to Defendant’s home in Orono and met with Defendant’s mother, S. G. S. G. Stated Defendant was not home. Sergeant Boecker showed S. G. A photo copy of the fraudulent ID Defendant had presented to T. J. At Highway 55 Liquor. S. G. Confirmed that the photograph on the fraudulent ID was Defendant and that Defendant was a senior at the Orono High School.
