On or about 03/19/2025, at approximately 1830 hours, Officers observed a tan Chevrolet Malibu on Lowry Ave North, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers observed the vehicle had a large crack running across the entire windshield obstructing the view of the driver. Additionally, Officers observed the vehicle had Wisconsin fleet plates 26741AFT. Upon running the license plate, Officers were informed that it did not come back in the system for any vehicle. Officers I paced the vehicle’s speed as it traveled southbound at Penn Avenue at approximately 43mph in a 30mph zone.
As the vehicle approached 26th Ave North and Penn Ave North, Officers initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle pulled to the side of the road. As Officers approached the vehicle, the driver accelerated at a high rate of speed and fled from Officers. Officers successfully deployed stop sticks on the vehicle. Shortly after, Officers aired over the radio that they had the vehicle on cameras stopping at West Broadway and Aldrich Avenue North. Officers aired that multiple people were fleeing on foot and the driver ran westbound.
HSI helicopter was overhead and stated the driver was wearing all black and ran westbound in a parking lot towards an alley. Ultimately, Officers were able to locate and detain all the passengers and the driver. Officers identified the passengers as, Cheviance Ravon Slaughter [DOB REDACTED], Elijah Robert Campbell [DOB REDACTED], and Rashawn Demarion Keten [DOB REDACTED]. The driver was identified as, Armon Deshawn Dalton [DOB REDACTED], defendant hereinafter. While Officers were on the scene, a civilian advised Officers that the defendant placed a firearm near his vehicle as he was fleeing.
Officers went to the civilian’s vehicle and observed a black Glock with an auto- sear laying on the ground. Additionally, Officers observed a loose round of ammunition under the truck. The firearm was collected along with a magazine that was found under the truck. Officers searched the vehicle and located a tan bag wedged between the drivers’ seat and the center consol. Officers observed a large quantity of white powdery substance. Officers conducted a field test on the white powdery substance, and it tested positive for fentanyl.
The following is a list of the evidence was recovered on the scene: Item 1- Glock 20 10mm handgun with switch S/N: BYSF976. Item 2- Magazine removed from item 1. Item 3- Round from chamber from item 1. Item 4- Approx: 47.86 grams of FTP fentanyl with the original packaging. On 07/10/2025 DNA results from the BCA stated that the defendant is indicated to be a possible contributor to the mixture of five individual DNA profiles located on the firearm. The defendant’s whereabouts are unknown. Due to public safety concerns, the State is requesting a warrant.
