On October 4, 2025, officers with the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport Police Department responded to Terminal One which is located in Hennepin County, Minnesota, on report of a theft. Officers spoke with an employee (“Victim”). Victim [NAME REDACTED] on September 30, 2025, he left his computer on a table in the employee break room. After a period of time, Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim then returned to the break room and discovered that his computer was gone. Victim reported that he bought the computer in 2022 for $1800.00. A serial number was provided.
Officers obtained surveillance footage of the break room. The footage reveals a male entering the break room and interacting with the computer. The male took the computer and used his badge to enter into a hallway that does not have cameras. Officers found that the person associated with the badge used to enter the hallway was Madison Chanchi Hang [DOB REDACTED] (“Defendant”). Officers found that Defendant was still at the airport. Officers located Defendant and spoke with him about the missing computer.
Defendant told officers that he did not know what to do with the laptop, after taking it, so he placed it into his locker. Defendant told officers that he was familiar with policy related to finding items. Defendant told officers that the correct thing to do was “probably” turn it into Lost and Found. Defendant had worked other shifts since September 30, 2025, when the laptop was first missing. Finally, Defendant told officers that he was not aware that there were cameras inside of the break room.
