On March 15, 2026, at approximately 5:07 P.M., police responded to 2XXX County Road H2, Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota, on a report of a domestic assault with a firearm. The caller said his sister was pistol whipped and assaulted. Police arrived and made contact with BLC, who had redness on her right cheek with what appeared to be fresh blood. BLC said she and CHRISTOPHER THOMAS PETERSON – [DOB redacted], who were in a sixteen year relationship, are supposed to be separated, but it has been a longer process given how long they were together.
BLC stated that PETERSON acts erratically when he uses drugs, and BLC believed that drug use contributed to his actions that day. BLC reported that they got into an argument about her having another phone while she was driving. BLC said PETERSON got physically aggressive and started “whaling” on her. BLC reported that PETERSON struck her approximately five times while he had a silver pistol in his hand. BLC was unsure whether the firearm made contact with her face but said it could have. While PETERSON had the gun in his hand, BLC said he told her that he was going to put a bullet in her head.
A witness reported that they saw a male and female get out of a vehicle. The witness looked away, and when she looked back, the female was on the ground. The witness saw the male swing his hand and hit the female two times, which caused her to fall back down. On March 17, the investigator spoke with PETERSON over the phone. PETERSON said that he and BLC have been together for 17 years, but she has been sneaking around with his friends. PETERSON reported that they had an argument and that was it. PETERSON denied that anything physical happened.
PETERSON complained about BLC taking all of his money. When informed that there were witnesses to the altercation, PETERSON responded that there was nothing but BLC’s brother and some “mother fuckers” that are not going to testify or will make false allegations. When asked about the injury to BLC’s head, PETERSON responded that he did not hit her, and if he did, she would have a concussion and not a cut. PETERSON reiterated that he did not hit her, and she was lying. The investigator encouraged PETERSON not to go to the residence to get clothing without a police escort.
PETERSON said he’s been sleeping out of his truck and denied going over to BLC’s residence. The investigator recommended that PETERSON not have any contact with BLC, and PETERSON responded with some profanity and said he is not going to see her. On March 18, police spoke with the 911 caller, CAS, who said that his sister, BLC, was bringing over a snowblower. CAS reported that when BLC came up the stairs, she was crying and had blood on her cheek. CAS said BLC told him that PETERSON tackled and maybe punched her, but he did not see the altercation.
