CAS told police that BLC never wants to press charges on PETERSON because she is afraid for her life. In a follow-up statement, BLC told the investigator that she called police on the evening of March 16 because PETERSON showed up at her mother’s house. BLC said Minneapolis police located PETERSON’s truck at a residence where he is staying, but he would not come to the door. BLC stated that PETERSON came over to her Minneapolis residence on the morning of March 17 looking for clothes, but he was gone by the time police arrived.
BLC said CAS told PETERSON that he needed to come with police to get the clothes. BLC told the investigator that she obtained an OFP, but PETERSON needed to be served with it. BLC reported that PETERSON has a compact 9mm pistol that is silver with black on the handle. When asked if that was the gun he hit her with, BLC responded that she does not think it is and that she thought PETERSON hit her with his left hand while holding the firearm in his right hand. 2 62-CR-26-2369 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 4/8/2026 PETERSON was not located on the KOPS alert.
Court records reflect that an Ex Parte Order for Protection was issued in Hennepin County District Court File No. 27-DA-FA-26-1446 on March 17, 2026, which prohibits PETERSON from having any contact with BLC. PETERSON was served on March 24. An Order for Protection Following Hearing was issued on March 30.
