The following is based on your complainant’s review of the reports of other officers and your complainant’s own investigation: On May 29, 2026, at about 3:20pm, Ramsey County Emergency 911 received a call from a woman at Rosedale Mall, 1595 Highway 36, Roseville, Ramsey County. She said that her phone had been stolen. The call then disconnected. Robbery A short time later, the woman approached officers at the mall. She was identified as SKJ ([DOB REDACTED]). She said that her ex-boyfriend is the defendant, JEREMY TEVELL JORDAN ([DOB REDACTED]). SKJ said that a short time earlier, she and he had met at the mall in order to retrieve her keys from him.
She said that they argued, and she began to cry. She said that the defendant told her that she could not cry inside of the mall, and they went into a family bathroom. She said that he accused of calling police during an earlier incident between them, look through her phone, and then assaulted her. She said that he “choked” her against the wall, with both hands around her neck. She said that he then went through her purse – which she was strapped around her body – and left with her phone, credit cards, and cash.
She said that she used an old, disabled phone to call 911 but then looked around the mall for law enforcement. SKJ said that during the strangulation, she found it difficult to breathe and began being light-headed. She said that she was still experiencing head and neck pain. Surveillance video was recovered. It shows SKJ and the defendant entering the family restroom together at about 3:05pm. About ten minutes later, they exit, and SKJ can be seen holding her neck with her hand. Theft About three hours later, Ramsey County Emergency 911 received a second call from SKJ. She reported that her home in New Brighton had been burglarized.
New Brighton Police responded. SKJ told them that she arrived home at about 5:40pm, she discovered the front door was open. (She said that she had closed and locked it when she last left.) She said that she then found many items missing, including handbags, shoes, sunglasses, jewelry, a phone, and personal documents for her and her kids. She said that many of these items were in a black garbage bag that had been in the living room of the home. She said that a purse on her bed, and clothing in her closet, had also apparently been rifled through. (Photographs were taken of disarray in the bedroom.) SKJ said that several of the missing handbags and pieces of jewelry had a value of several thousand dollars each.
SKJ said that there was no sign of forced entry to the home. But she reiterated that earlier in the day, the defendant gained possession of her keys; she explained that he had driven their children to child care. Arrest and Recovery of Stolen Property Shortly before the second 911 call, St. Paul Police encountered the defendant driving near Charles Ave. And Marion St. In St. Paul, Ramsey County. A traffic stop was conducted, and he was taken into custody. He was wearing the same clothes as in the video from the mall. 3 ••-CR-••-•••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 6/1/2026 The items stolen from SKJ at the mall were not found.
