On December 2, 2025, the Gun Investigation Unit of Minneapolis Police Department assisted the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in executing a search warrant for an address on the 5700 block of Kentucky Avenue in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The search warrant stemmed from an investigation of individuals including JAJUAN MICHAEL MCGEE [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, who were posting Snapchat photos of themselves with firearms. In one such posting, Defendant possessed a Black Glock 19 firearm with a high-capacity drum style magazine attached to it.
During the execution of the search warrant, police recovered a Black Glock 19 firearm with the serial number removed from its lower receiver. Inside it was a black high-capacity drum style magazine. Officers also recovered a tan extended high-capacity magazine and live round, and a tan polymer 80 handgun without a serial number, a “ghost gun.” A DNA swab was taken from Defendant as well as from the evidence recovered during the search warrant. DNA testing was conducted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
The major male DNA profile found on the high-capacity drum magazine that was attached to the Glock 19, matches Defendant’s DNA profile. Police also obtained a friction ridge impression (FRI) from the recovered Glock 19. An impression of Defendant’s left index finger was compared to this FRI and matched it. Defendant’s whereabouts are unknown.
