He approached the house and could see the Defendant locking all the doors. Officers also interviewed Amy Jo Steenberg, who stated: The Defendant had called her in a panic, saying there is blood everywhere and it’s not my fault. She told the Defendant to call 911, but the Defendant said no, we will call 911 when you get here. The Defendant also stated, "I loved him”, and that the Deceased came at her with a gun, she kicked it and it went off. Both CWL and BSL were at the residence 20 minutes prior to deputies arriving and told their father, Stuart 2 70-CR-24-3201 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 3/7/2024 Lieber, that their mother, the Defendant, was not acting normal.
Stuart Lieber then called 911. The Defendant was arrested and refused to make a statement. The Defendant was taken to the Scott County Jail. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension arrived at the scene to assist. DJN’s body was collected by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office. On 03/06/2024 an autopsy was performed on the Deceased. The ME concluded there was a gunshot wound that entered from the left side of his forehead. The wound was a contact wound. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound.
