On October 28, 2025, law enforcement was dispatched to a residence located on the 4400 block of 234th Avenue NW, St. Francis, Anoka County, on a report of damage to property. The reporting party, T. L., told law enforcement that her son, Brandon Christopher Lehman [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein, was living at the residence but stopped paying rent, so she initiated eviction proceedings, and defendant was evicted on October 23, 2025. After the eviction, T. L. Went to the property and observed damage inside and outside of the home including the following: holes in the walls; the dining room, living room, and bathroom flooring ripped up inside the home; furniture broken and mirrors missing; concrete poured down the toilet and pipes; the outside small deck was ripped from the home and missing; siding ripped off the home; and, siding and a garbage can that was melted from what appeared to be a fire.
The estimate for labor and materials to repair the walls, flooring, siding, and deck is at least $6,691.07. Law enforcement attempted to contact defendant but were unable to. However, law enforcement was able to contact defendant’s brother, J. L, who told law enforcement that defendant admitted to him that he did the damage to T. L.’s home and was bragging about it. Given the unknown whereabouts of defendant and the State’s belief that defendant will not respond to a summons, the State respectively requests that this complaint issue as a warrant complaint and defendant be held in custody until appropriate bail and conditions of release be set pursuant to Minn.
R. Crim. P. 6.02, subd. 1, to include the issuance of appropriate protective orders.
