04/03/2001 (25), violated the law as set forth herein. On April 17, 2026, at approximately 11:13 P.M., Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Creamery Apartments, located in the City of Brandon, Douglas County, Minnesota, on a report of a disturbance. The reporting party indicated that an individual identified as “Austin” was causing a disturbance and had left the area at a high rate of speed in an Oldsmobile minivan bearing Minnesota license plate LRU-900. At approximately 12:21 A.M., deputies were again dispatched after the same individual returned and was observed outside the building throwing items.
Upon arrival, deputies located the suspect vehicle and observed that it had a broken side window, with shattered glass present on the street next to the vehicle. A records check identified the associated individual as the Defendant, who resides in [APT REDACTED] of the Creamery Apartments. While deputies attempted to make contact at [APT REDACTED], the Defendant approached law enforcement in the hallway and appeared unsteady on his feet. The Defendant initially identified himself as “Ashton” and continued past deputies.
A short time later, the Defendant returned and claimed to be the Defendant’s twin brother, identifying himself as Ashton Michael Joel Oglesby, with a different date of birth. The Defendant further stated that “Austin” had broken the vehicle window but claimed it was permissible because Austin owned the vehicle. Deputy Perez compared the Defendant’s visible tattoos to known photographs and determined that the Defendant was providing false identifying information. The Defendant was placed under arrest and subsequently admitted that he had provided a false name and date of birth.
Further investigation revealed that the Defendant has an active arrest warrant out of the State of Arkansas. Specifically, the Defendant is wanted on a warrant issued in Montgomery County, Arkansas, for the offense of Rape, a Class Y Felony, in violation of Arkansas Code § 5-14-103. The warrant was issued on September 12, 2025, by the Circuit Court of Montgomery County. Bond is set in the matter at $20,000.00. Law enforcement confirmed through direct communication with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office that the warrant is valid and active.
Arkansas authorities have further confirmed that they will extradite the Defendant from the state of Minnesota and intend to take custody of the Defendant to address the pending charge. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
