During that time, other officers were present and able to make contact at the front door of the apartment. Officers spoke with Eide and Juvenile B. Initially Eide and Juvenile B stated to Sergeant Jason Spoden they did not know if Keller had a gun that night. Officer Mueller spoke with Eide and Juvenile B further about what happened. Eide did the majority of the talking and gave statements that were inconsistent with what Officer Mueller had learned previously and that changed when Officer Mueller mentioned contradicting information.
Eide stated that Juvenile B punched Victim A and that Keller was the one who "upped it" by pulling out the firearm. Eide stated that Juvenile B threw the first punch and hit Victim A in the face "a couple of times." 2 73-CR-25-10612 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 12/23/2025 Keller provided information about the gun and where officers could find it. Keller stated that Eide and Juvenile B had told him earlier in the day that they wanted to "hit a lick" that day. Keller stated a "lick" is street terms for target theft or robbery.
Keller stated Eide was the one who arranged the meet up for the VR headset. Keller confirmed Eide had set up the meeting with Victim A with the intent to rob Victim A, and Keller had agreed to drive them. Keller provided details consistent with what Victim A reported. Keller stated that Eide, Juvenile B, and Adult A knew he had the gun with him. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct.
