On or about February 7, 2026, a Princeton Police Officer was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle touch the center line near the intersection of 74th Avenue and 6th Street in Princeton, Minnesota. The officer initiated a traffic stop, and the vehicle pulled over within Mille Lacs County. Two other officers arrived to assist. The first officer approached the vehicle and advised the driver of the reason for the stop. The driver did not have a license, so the officer directed him to exit to confirm his identity.
The driver was identified as D. J. G. [DOB REDACTED]. Another officer recognized the front seat passenger from prior law enforcement contacts as DYLAN TYLER ANDERSON (12-07-1990). The officers were also aware that D. J. G. Had prior involvement with individuals with active arrest warrants. One of the officers asked ANDERSON’S last name. ANDERSON replied that his middle name was “James” and that he did not have any active warrants. Dispatch then advised the officers that DYLAN TYLER ANDERSON (12-07-1990) did, in fact, have multiple active Mille Lacs County warrants.
The officers directed ANDERSON to exit the vehicle, placed him under arrest, and searched him incident to arrest. On ANDERSON’S person, the officers found a glass pipe with visible white residue. The officers recognized the pipe as being used to consume methamphetamine. ANDERSON was secured in the rear compartment of one of the officer’s squad cars. Before placing ANDERSON in the back of the squad car, the officer checked the compartment and confirmed that it was clear of any contraband. The officer then transported ANDERSON to the county jail.
Upon arriving at the jail, the officer removed ANDERSON from the squad car. Upon doing so, the officer observed a small plastic baggie with a large white crystal near where ANDERSON had been seated. The officer recognized the substance as methamphetamine. The crystal weighed between one and two grams. Jail staff then advised that they had also found an additional baggie with white, crystalline residue on ANDERSON’S person. Methamphetamine is a Schedule II controlled substance. ANDERSON has prior felony drug convictions in case files ••-CR-••-•••• and ••-CR-••-•••• (2024 convictions) and received a statutory stay of adjudication on a felony drug charge in Case File 71-CR-11- 953 (2012 disposition). PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in criminal charges in addition to any arrest warrant that the Court may otherwise issue.
