On November 20, 2025, at approximately 1308 hours, Minnetonka Police Officers responded to a theft report at Target [ADDRESS REDACTED], Minnetonka, Hennepin County. Loss Prevention Officer A. P., stated that she observed a male concealing merchandise and ticket switching merchandise. The male was later identified as NATHAN HENRY MESHBESHER, Defendant herein. Loss Prevention attempted to stop the Defendant in the vestibule after he passed all points of sale without paying for the merchandise, but he let go of the cart containing the items and walked away.
Loss Prevention watched him get into his vehicle and begin to drive away. Officers stopped the vehicle and confirmed with Loss Prevention it was the correct vehicle and suspect. The total amount of unpaid for items is $974.98. Officers placed the Defendant under arrest. In a post-Miranda statement, the Defendant stated that he went into Target and stole several random items in bags that he brought with him into the store. The Defendant stated that he had never done this before, and he did not know why he did it.
Officers were then made aware that the Defendant had prior thefts from Target, a second one at the Minnetonka Target and another from the Eden Prairie Target, [ADDRESS REDACTED], Hennepin County. On November 11, 2025, the Defendant is on surveillance leaving the store without attempting to pay for $75.00 worth of merchandise and on November 14, 2025, the Defendant is on surveillance leaving the store without attempting to pay for $369.55 worth of merchandise. The total theft is $1,419.53. The Defendant is currently out of custody.
