On February 25, 2026, at approximately 0849 hours, Bloomington Police Officers were on directed patrol at the La Quinta West Hotel, [ADDRESS REDACTED], Bloomington, Hennepin County. Officers were on directed patrol at this hotel as it has a disproportionately high amount of criminal activity associated with it, including but not limited to, narcotics activities, prostitution, human trafficking and fraud activities. Officers observed a vehicle parked in the hotel's parking lot that registered to Jacob Fesik who Officers learned had a significant narcotic and fraud charges, conviction, and arrest history.
Fesik had a registered address in Minnetonka. Officers know from their training and experience that people who live locally but stay at a hotel close to their home, often utilize hotels to conduct criminal activity. Officers learned that one of Fesik's known associates is AUBRIE EMILIE MARSHALL, Defendant herein. Officers learned that a room was rented under the Defendant's name. The Defendant also showed prior arrests for narcotics and fraudulent activities. Officers observed the Defendant, Fesik, and a young child exit the hotel and leave in Fesik's vehicle.
Officers performed a K9 sniff on the floor where the Defendant's rented room was located. The K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics at the Defendant's room, #505. Officers received a search warrant for the room. The Defendant and Fesik returned to the hotel without the child a short time later. Paraphernalia and suspected narcotics were recovered from inside of the hotel room. A small Ziploc baggie containing a small white rock, that appeared to be heroin weighing 0.41 grams, was located on the bathroom counter next to a piece of burnt foil and a small white glass pipe.
Suboxone was located on the left side of the bed, drug paraphernalia was located on the nightstand, as well as 2 glass pipes in a grey backpack near the TV stand. In a post-Miranda statement, the Defendant stated that Officers likely located tinfoil, straws, and "a little bit of heroin," in the bathroom. The Defendant stated that the heroin was hers. The narcotics field-tested positive for fentanyl and weighed 0.41 grams. The Defendant is currently out of custody.
