On December 11, 2025, at approximately 11:35 P.M., Cottage Grove Police Officers were dispatched to a residence on Henna Ave S, Cottage Grove, Washington County, Minnesota. When they arrived, they met M. G. A. (Victim). She reported that she has just been sexually assaulted by Javier Alcantara Martinez (defendant), [DOB REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had occurred shortly before the officers arrived. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in contact with the defendant earlier that evening. In those conversations they agreed to meet at the residence.
She stated while there they had consumed some alcoholic beverages. She indicated that defendant drank a considerable amount more than her. At one point in the evening, she went into the bathroom to make a personal call. When she was done with her call, defendant came into the bathroom and inquired about have sexual intercourse. Victim [NAME REDACTED] did not want to. Defendant then pulled down her pants and underwear and moved her to a bed. While this was happening, Victim [NAME REDACTED] was trying to push him away and say she did not want to have sex.
Defendant then forced himself upon her and then vaginally penetrated her with his penis. Defendant had put a condom on prior to the sexual intercourse. While he was assaulting her, Victim continued to try and push him off. After defendant finished, Victim dressed herself and then tried to get out of the residence. She told him "get out" and that defendant "didn't want to let me go." These statements were overheard by relatives of the defendant who had come into the residence after the assault had occurred.
She was able to get out of the residence and she called 911 for assistance. Officer were able to secure evidence at the scene corroborating Victim's Statement. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE. FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR COURT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING IMPOSED AND PUNISHED AS PROVIDED IN MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 609.49.
