Melissa Anne Perez

On or about August 21, 2025, Deputy Brindley of the Washington County Sheriff's Office observed a Honda Pilot displaying May 2023 registration stickers traveling Southbound on Hilton Trail. After confirming the registration was expired on a squad computer, the deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Honda Pilot and identified the driver as Melissa Anne Perez, [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein. Defendant admitted to failing pay for her vehicle registration. Defendant also admitted to buying the vehicle from her ex-brother-in-law but did not have a title for the vehicle.

Upon running Defendant's driver's license on the squad computer, the license came back expired as of May 23, 2025, however the deputy chose not to pursue charges for failing to update her license within 30 days of moving to a new residence. A review of Defendant's record shows no prior convictions related to vehicle registration within the last ten years.
