She went and woke up Victim, [NAME REDACTED]. She called police, and before they arrived, Witness B and Victim got into a fight, and she had to break them up. Witness A stated that NEAL was present and egging the fight on the whole time. After police had arrived and gone back outside, another fight happened between Victim and Witness B. They went to the ground. When Victim was on top of Witness B, NEAL came over with a knife in his hand and stabbed Victim. NEAL then ran outside with knife. Witness B also provided a statement to police.
He admitted that he and Victim got into a fight after police left the residence. He stated that Victim [NAME REDACTED], and he, Victim, and Witness A were all fighting. He was on the ground on top of Witness A, and Victim was on top of him. NEAL then walked over, and Victim ran after him when NEAL ran out. Witness B didn’t know that NEAL had stabbed Victim [NAME REDACTED]. 2 27-CR-26-9374 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 4/13/2026 When officers were arresting NEAL on scene, he made spontaneous statements that he did not stab Victim [NAME REDACTED] was eating dinner when Victim and Witness B got into a fight and Victim [NAME REDACTED] into the knife he was using to eat his dinner.
Later, once NEAL was in custody and advised of his constitutional rights, he told an investigator that Witness B and Victim [NAME REDACTED] in a fight, and he heard his brother call out for help. NEAL claimed that he walked over with the knife in his hand, and at some point during the fight, Victim and Witness B both lifted off of the ground and Victim’s buttocks hit the knife, which slid into him. NEAL is currently in custody.
