On April 5, 2026, at approximately 5:00 P.M., officers of the Minneapolis Police Department were actively searching for known fugitive JEROME ANTIONE MARSHALL [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein, who was wanted on an active felony warrant in 27-CR-25-10611 relating to a firearm conviction. Officers located DEFENDANT in the vicinity of a community center located at the 1800 block of Portland Ave., City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers placed DEFENDANT under arrest pursuant to the warrant at which time DEFENDANT informed officers that he was carrying a firearm.
Officers searched DEFENDANT incident to arrest and discovered a.380 Smith and Wesson semi-automatic handgun (S/N# RAA3263) loaded with ammunition on his person. Officers also recovered from DEFENDANT’s person FOUR bindles of a rock-like substance weighting 3.51 grams that field tested positive for METHAMPHETAMINE (Schedule II narcotic) and TWO bindles of a white powdery substance weighing.22 grams that field tested positive for FENATNYL (Schedule II narcotic). Officers also recovered over $500 dollars in small denominations.
The quantities of narcotics, the manner of packaging and transport, the quantity and denominations of currency, and the presence of a firearm, are all indicators of possible narcotics distribution and sale. DEFENDANT is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition due to multiple prior convictions for qualifying crimes of violence: (1) Prohibited Person in Possession, 27-CR-25-10611, ([DOB REDACTED]); (2) Drugs 5th Degree, 27-CR-20-9121 ([DOB REDACTED]); and (3) Drugs 5th Degree, 27-CR-20-3267 ([DOB REDACTED]). DEFENDANT is presently on supervision for a firearm conviction in 27-CR-25-10611. DEFENDANT is presently in custody.
