On October 1, 2025, C. H. Reported to Minneapolis Police Department that his red Jeep Liberty bearing Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED] was stolen on September 30, 2025, between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The vehicle was parked in front of his house at the time it was stolen. He did not give anyone permission to take or drive the vehicle. On 10/02/2025 at 1320 hours, Woodbury Police Department [WBPD] was alerted by FLOCK camera that C. H.'s vehicle was near Dicks Sporting Goods in Tamarack Village in Woodbury, Washington County, Minnesota.
Upon arrival, officers noted the Jeep was unoccupied with a broken window on the driver's rear side and shattered glass on the front passenger and rear driver's side seats. The ignition was punched and completely missing. Officers later searched the vehicle and discovered a screwdriver underneath the driver's side seat. The front license plate was located in the front passenger seat. Video footage was obtained from the neighboring Home Depot store. The video showed the Jeep drive into the parking lot and two persons exit the vehicle.
The driver was a female wearing all black with a long white stripe going down the arm. The passenger of the Jeep was a male wearing shorts. A WBPD officer working off duty at Dick's Sporting Goods reported seeing a suspicious male and female enter the store just after being notified of the FLOCK alert. The male and female matched the driver and passenger exiting the stolen vehicle in the surveillance video. The off-duty officer observed the male and female leave Dick's and separate. Law enforcement located the male passenger and identified him as P. B. He stated that he did not know the vehicle was stolen.
He claimed that he picked up the vehicle from his friend. He denied driving it. Law enforcement located the female driver near Dick's. Law enforcement made contact with her and identified her as TEA MARIE WHITTAKER, [DOB REDACTED], "the defendant" herein. The defendant admitted to being in the vehicle, but denied knowing the vehicle was stolen. The defendant denied knowing the male passenger. Law enforcement observed P. B. Call her. The defendant also had many credit cards belonging to P. B. In her wallet.
