On or about February 3, 2026 Princeton Police were dispatched to the area of [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Princeton, Mille Lacs County, state of Minnesota for a 911 hang up and possible disturbance. Dispatch reported that voices were audible on the line yelling very loudly. Multiple officers responded to the area and found no individuals outside. As law enforcement entered the alley, they could hear loud yelling and banging coming from a shed-sized apartment that is at 307 1/[ADDRESS REDACTED]. Law enforcement approached the residence and observed a male, hereinafter Male-1, inside the structure.
Male-1 was yelling and banging on the window from the inside and appeared to be trying to escape the structure. As law enforcement drew closer, identified later as CHELSEA LORRAINE FARAH ([DOB REDACTED]), stepped out of the main door of the residence. FARAH was seen to have blood covering her face and head. At this point, law enforcement was able to determine that some of the yelling was coming from minor [NAME REDACTED]. Male-1 exited the residence then and was also observed to have blood all over his face.
He also had visible injuries to his face and head area. Law enforcement ordered Male-1 and FARAH to assume a prone position on the ground. Law enforcement had drawn their service weapons and Male-1 immediately went to the ground. FARAH ignored law enforcement and went back into the residence. Law enforcement secured FARAH with difficulty as she began swearing and yelling at the officers. FARAH yelled at law enforcement that she just wanted to be with her kids. Officers were able to observe that she was yelling loudly, acting belligerent, and refusing to cooperate with law enforcement.
All of this behavior was in front of the children who were still crying and upset. Once FARAH was secured, officers had to nearly drag her to the squad vehicle as she refused to cooperate with them. At one point, she sat down on the ground and had to be placed in the squad vehicle. Once in the squad vehicle, FARAH continued screaming and began slamming her body and head against the partition in the squad car. Officers observed the car to be rocking and loud banging coming from FARAH's efforts. This continued throughout officer's investigation.
Law enforcement entered the residence to meet with the children who were still audibly upset. The interior of the residence was heavily damaged, soiled and extremely dirty. There were multiple holes smashed in the wall of the residence, property was broken and strewn around the interior and items were laying all over the place. Law enforcement identified five juveniles inside the residence who were the children of one or both Male-1 and FARAH. The oldest, Child-1, was (12yo). Child-2 is (11yo) eleven years old.
The remaining ages are 4 ••-CR-••-•••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 2/5/2026 Child-3 (8yo), Child-4 (6yo), and Child-5 (2yo). All of the children were crying and scared when law enforcement encountered them. The four oldest children were able to explain that FARAH and Male-1 had gotten into a physical fight. Officers learned that Male-1 had raised his voice at two of the children and this had woken up FARAH. She became upset and started yelling at him. The two began yelling and then physically fighting with each other in front of the children.
