On January 5, 2026 Officer Turner received a report of a stolen motor vehicle at 20 8th Street NE in Rochester, Minnesota. The complainant stated that his vehicle and keys were stolen while he was in the bathroom. There was a female at the apartment that he did not know named Ashley. He had left the car keys on the counter when he went to the bathroom for about ten minutes. When he came out of the bathroom at approximately 1250 hours the vehicle was gone. The stolen vehicle was a blue 2006 Ford Explorer with MN license FFF887. The complainant stated that this was the first time he had ever met Ashley and he did not speak with her while he was in the apartment.
He learned her name from others in the apartment after discovering the vehicle missing. No one had permission to take the keys or the vehicle. In speaking with witnesses in the apartment Officer Turner learned that Ashley's last name was either Polus or Gore, determined later to be ASHLEY HELEN GORE, [DOB REDACTED]. The apartment renter stated he was not aware that the vehicle had been taken until complainant came out of the bathroom. He was in another area of the apartment making coffee when Gore left.
Officer Turner reviewed ALPR date which showed that the stolen vehicle was traveling southbound on Broadway Avenue North approaching Civic Center Drive at approximately 1407 hours. The vehicle was located on city cameras first traveling westbound on 7th Street NE from First Avenue NE, and then turns southbound on Broadway Avenue and continuing south out of camera view past 4th Street South. Officer Turner obtained several still photos showing the driver as a pale skinned person likely female with black hair wearing a black unzipped jacket over a white shirt/garment.
Video also showed that there was no front seat passenger. On January 6, 2025 at 1231 hours Officer Turner received a call from complainant who stated that he had received a call from his friend who had been at the apartment saying that he had found the vehicle. Officer Turner called the friend who stated that the vehicle was at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NW. The friend stated that he had gotten a ride over to the address from a white female with dark hair that he did not know. He then located the vehicle and called the owner/complainant.
The female that gave him a ride then went into an apartment. He stated that the vehicle keys were located inside the vehicle. Officer Turner located the vehicle at the 416 Zumbro Driver NW parked in front of a garage door for [APT REDACTED]. He spoke with the person who had located the vehicle and obtained the keys. Officer Turner knocked on the door to [APT REDACTED] and a female came to the door and came outside. The female initially stated that she knew nothing about the stolen vehicle, but then abruptly stated there were 5 people inside 2 ••-CR-••-•••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/6/2026 the apartment.
