On January 15, 2026, Carver County Sheriff’s Deputy Winter was contacted to investigate claims of domestic assault that took place at a residence in Waconia, Carver County, Minnesota on various dates in December 2025. Deputy Winter and social services met with Victim, a juvenile female fully identified in police reports, who reported that her father, NIKOLAS CHRISTOPHER FEIST [DOB REDACTED] was very physical with her during punishments. Specifically, Victim [NAME REDACTED] on or about December 1, 2025, Feist put both of his hands around her neck and pushed her against a wall in their residence in Waconia.
Victim advised that Feist closed his hands around her neck with enough pressure to constrict her airways for approximately 30 seconds. Victim further stated that there were no marks or bruising from the strangulation but that she was fearful of what would happen next if no one intervened as Feist was strangling her. Social services asked why Victim did not report the assault right away. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was fearful of retaliation from Feist and that she now felt comfortable reporting since she has moved away from the residence.
On January 16, 2026, Deputy Winter met with Witness, an adult female fully identified in police reports. Witness reported that she observed the December 1 incident where Feist put his hands around Victim’s throat. Specifically, Witness walked into a room and saw Feist holding Victim against some lockers with both hands around her throat. Witness had to physically pull Feist away from Victim [NAME REDACTED] would stop strangling Victim. Witness did not observe Victim to have any marks or bruising from the assault.
Witness further reported that Feist preferred to use physical discipline for Victim. On January 21, 2026, Deputy Winter spoke with Feist regarding the incident. Feist reported that he and Victim got into a verbal argument regarding a credit card, but that things did not become physical. Feist further denied ever being physical with Victim.
