On January 4, 20026, at approximately 1:00 A.M., Chaska Police Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at [ADDRESS REDACTED], in the City of Chaska, County of Carver. The reporting party, Juliana Contreras, reported that an unknown female was knocking on the door of the residence and demanding that, "you owe me money." Ms. Contreras reiterated that she did not know who the female was or how she arrived at the residence. Ms. Contraras described the female was wearing a long blue sleeve sweatshirt, a black beanie hat and a black or grey vest.
Ms. Contreras said that the knocking was so hard that it shook the door and walls, and that this unknown female was yelling such things as: “f*** you, I didn’t come all this way on a Lyft and f*** you, open the f****** door.” Ms. Contreras expressed concern for her safety and inquired on how to get a protective order. Upon arriving at the residence, officers located the suspect female, ultimately identified as Misty Dawn Bradley [DOB REDACTED], hereafter the Defendant Initially, the Defendant refused to identify herself to uniformed officers, even after repeated requests and instead continued talking with an unknown party on her phone.
The Defendant did state that she was dropped off at the residence via Lyft, from St. Paul, to meet with her friend "Don" at the residence. Defendant stated "Don" had provided her the address of [ADDRESS REDACTED] and that "Don" was supposed to meet her there. The Defendant could not provide any other cogent information regarding Don. Defendant denied asking the residents for money and stated she asked for money to "pay for the Lyft. Again, the Defendant was asked multiple times to identify herself until she finally stated her last name was “Bradley.” Because this name did not come back on file, officers made further requests for information, particularly as the Defendant stated she did not have a driver's license.
Finally, she identified herself as Misty Dawn Johnson. At this point, the Defendant was detained on probable cause for providing false information. The Defendant was uncooperative but was finally handcuffed. Subsequent to arrest, officers located tin foil with a white powdery substance, a plastic bindle with white powdery substance, tinfoil with burnt residue, two glass pipes with burnt residue, along with various vapes and lighters. The Defendant denied these items were hers but stated that she was “holding it” for someone else.
The white powdery substance field-tested positive for cocaine with a combined weight of.44 grams. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension now has custody of the alleged cocaine and will perform determinative chemical testing. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
