At around 7:30 AM on December 2, 2025, officers were sent to the Holiday gas station at [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County on an assault involving a knife. Officers spoke to TE [DOB REDACTED] who works at the gas station. TE knocked on the men’s bathroom door to check it for cleaning. JOSHUA MICHAEL KRALL [DOB REDACTED] opened the locked door with a knife in his right hand. Krall repeatedly yelled something like, “You want some of this!” while pointing the knife at TE. TE slowly backed away from Krall.
Krall exited the restroom and left the store. Officers located Krall on the nearby Bruce Vento Trail. Krall said he was who police were looking for, and he said he had been in an altercation at the gas station with staff by the bathroom. Officers arrested Krall and recovered three folding knives from him. When being transported to jail Krall denied threating staff with a knife. Krall said he only had “green brass knuckles” in his hand—not a knife. Krall asked if he was going to be charged with the methamphetamine he had on him when he was arrested.
Krall was advised of his constitutional rights and agreed to speak to an investigator. Krall said he stole some sandwiches from the gas station and left. He returned later and went to the bathroom. Someone loudly knocked on the door making Krall think they were trying to break in. Krall opened the door and saw an employee with an aggressive posture. Krall claimed the employee told him it was the employee’s store, and the employee was going to f*** up Krall. Krall asked the employee what the employee’s problem was, and Krall said, “Let’s go, let’s fight!” Krall said he had brass knuckles that had green coloring on them, but he denied he had a knife.
Krall said he threw the brass knuckles in the snow as he fled. Officers searched the area and found a pair of green brass knuckles with a knife in the snow. The knife blade was extended and exposed when the brass knuckles were recovered. The contents of the item recovered from Krall tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine and weighed 0.75 grams. Krall has 13 prior felony convictions including 3 prior threats of violence. Krall was sentenced on a threat of violence in Ramsey County District Court file ••-CR-••-••••. Krall threatened staff at St. Joseph Hospital with a knife, and he had methamphetamine in his possession when he was arrested in that case.
