On December 21, 2025, Officer Brown was dispatched to a business in the 10 block of County Road 120 in the City of Sartell, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, for the report of a theft. Officer Brown spoke with Loss Prevention C. G., fully identified in the police reports, who reported the there was a theft of phones from the business. C. G. Said this incident was not observed in real time and was captured on surveillance video. C. G. Explained the business owns the phones they sell but contracts with a secondary business to assist with setting up phones prior to them being sold to customers.
C. G. Told Officer Brown around 1:00 P.M. On that date, the secondary company sent an individual to the store that he knows as Skye Block, fully identified as Kennen Kevin Block, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein. C. G. Described the defendant as a white female with long dark hair. C. G. Said when the defendant came into the store they obtained a key to the locked drawers to open the locked drawers of phones in the electronics department. C. G. Said the defendant was with another individual he knows from prior contacts as W. F., fully identified in the police reports.
C. G. Said the defendant and W. F. Stood near the phone drawer for a bit and the defendant took the phones out of the drawer. C. G. Said around 2:30 P.M. The defendant can be seen on surveillance video opening multiple boxes of new phones while W. F. Appears to be turned away from the defendant. C. G. Said the defendant can be seen placing the phones into what appears to be a plastic bag from the business and then placing them into the drawer. C. G. Said the defendant is then seen throwing the boxes for the phones into the garbage.
The boxes were later recovered. C. G. Said around 7:02 P.M. The defendant is seen on surveillance video taking the bag of phones out of the drawer and putting them into their black purse. C. G. Said in the video it appears as if the defendant is looking around trying to hide what they are doing. C. G. Said the video shows the defendant leaving the store with the phones in their purse passing all points of sale, also holding a Subway cup. C. G. Said the defendant did not have the right to take the stock from the store without permission or without making payment.
C. G. Provided a list of the nine phones taken by the defendant, the value of which totaled $2,632. C. G. Told Officer Brown that one of the phones the defendant stole was equipped with a GPS and the company that tracks the GPS provided information the last known address of the phone was in Esko, Minnesota. Officer Brown looked up the address and observed it appeared to be an apartment building. G. C. Provided Officer Brown with a photograph of the vehicle the defendant left the business in, which was located at the apartment by Carlton County Deputy Skurla.
