On January 15, 2026, Savage Police Officers were on duty in the city of Savage, Scott County, Minnesota, and were informed of an ongoing harassment case. Law enforcement made contact with the individuals being harassed (fully identified in law enforcement reports and hereinafter referred to as "Victim 1" and "Victim 2", collectively as the "Victims"). Victim 1 is a member of a law enforcement agency within Scott County. Victim 2 is a family member of Victim 1. In speaking with Victim 1, a Savage Police Officer learned that an individual fully identified as Jeremy William Miller, [DOB REDACTED] (hereinafter "DEFENDANT"), had been threatening both the Victims, sending threatening messages via social media accounts, and was now actively calling Victim 2. The Victims expressed concern as Victim 2 had never shared their phone number with DEFENDANT. DEFENDANT had called her three times on January 15, 2026, including leaving a voicemail for Victim 2 before they eventually blocked communication with DEFENDANT. The one-time Victim 2 spoke with DEFENDANT over the phone, Defendant said something to the effect that Victim 1 and his family are "going down." In addition to this threat, DEFENDANT had sent hundreds of messages to the social media accounts where Victim 1 works, including a message which stated the following: "Hey Chief, I'm coming for your f$cking throat.
YOU, in particular.as a person. Finding your spouses & kids online, is so easy." "Don't think I won't attack someone innocent, you do" DEFENDANT also sent a message, which appeared to specifically target Victim 1, which stated: "I'm infinitely smarter than you & you're cornered and I'm going to beat you to death and there's no ref to stop the fight". Law enforcement noted the threat of "beat you to death" was a specific and articulable threat of violence to cause death or great bodily harm. Based upon these threats, law enforcement was able to look up DEFENDANT'S social media.
It appeared that DEFENDANT had "doxed" Victim 1, accusing Victim 1 of being involved in a grand conspiracy, and proclaiming it on his Facebook, Threads, and Instagram accounts. Specifically, DEFENDANT was naming Victim 1 by name and stating that Victim 1 is responsible and being publicly outed. Based on all this information, DEFENDANT was placed under arrest and taken into custody. A records check of DEFENDANT showed that he had an active Gross Misdemeanor Warrant for his arrest due to violating a harassment restraining order out of Scott County (70-CR-25- 14541). When DEFENDANT was transported to the Scott County Jail, DEFENDANT made a significant number of comments, one specifically regarding something to the effect of "murdering this entire city" when speaking about the city of Eden Prairie.
DEFENDANT further stated that everything he has said up to this point is the truth, and he is not a liar. When DEFENDANT was informed of the reasons for his arrest, DEFENDANT disputed the officer's comments, claiming he did nothing wrong and evidence was fabricated. DEFENDANT was then read his Miranda rights. In response, DEFENDANT yelled profanities at officers and refused to answer any questions. All efforts to communicate with DEFENDANT regarding his rights, charges, and procedural information were met with DEFENDANT yelling profanities back at officers.
