Law enforcement confirmed that an individual identified as JEFFERY HOWARD RALSTON, [DOB REDACTED] [hereinafter defendant] and co- defendant resided at that residence and were known to have been in possession of controlled substances. Upon execution of the search warrant, K9 Handler Sorensen and his K9 partner conducted an interior sniff of the residence. Law enforcement located the following items in the office room on the second floor of the home; Zip top baggie with a white crystal-like substance weighing approximately 1.3 grams that test positive for methamphetamine.
Zip top baggie with a yellow rock weighing approximately.50 grams of an unknown substance Several documents and an expired license belonging to the co-defendant 6.5m/m box of bullets Additionally, law enforcement located the following items in plain sight in the utility room located in the basement of the home; Two “replica” firearms Several zip top baggies that contained spent and live ammunition Reloading supplies that included projectiles, empty casting, and primers Griffin Armament suppressor Black case containing a handgun magazine with bullets The defendant and co-defendant denied being in possession of controlled substances or ammunition.
The substances were sent to Midwest Regional Lab for confirmation testing. On August 9, 2025 law enforcement executed a search warrant for DNA on the defendant and codefendant. On October 16, 2025 Midwest Regional Labs confirmed the white crystal-like substance tested positive for methamphetamine that weighed 1.341 grams. The yellow rock tested positive for dimethyltryptamine (DMT) weighing.514 grams. On February 26, 2026, the DNA results were released, in which the lab tested the baggies that contained the controlled substance for the presence of DNA. The baggie that contained the methamphetamine rendered positive DNA presence of the defendant and co-defendant.
The baggie that contained the DMT rendered positive DNA presence for the co-defendant. Law enforcement confirmed that the defendant is ineligible of possessing firearms and ammunition as he has a previous felony conviction in 71-CR-23-230. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
