On 02/09/2026 Roseville Police took a phone call report for a fraud. The complainant, SME, said that her mother, JAS, was on hospice at [ADDRESS REDACTED] B2 W in Roseville, Ramsey County and passed away on 02/05/2026. SME said she then saw bank transactions on a debit card that she shared with her mother which began on 02/06/2026 at numerous locations, including Walgreen's in Roseville. The following is a list of the fraudulent charges on JAS’s card: Walgreens - Roseville ([ADDRESS REDACTED]), 2/6/26, $119.93 Speedway -Maplewood, 2/6/26, $26.60 Doordash, 2/6/26, $9.99 Speedway -Maplewood, 2/7/26, $26.60 Target - North St. Paul, 2/7/26, $33.79 Target liquor - North St. Paul, 2/7/26, $99.74 (declined) Amazon Prime, 2/7/26, $10.83 Total: $327.48. SME told police that she spoke to staff at Roseville Walgreen's who said that a heavy-set black female made the transaction around 1200 hours on 02/06. Police obtained a CCTV image of the suspect exiting the Target liquor store.
They then contacted Roseville Suite Living Senior Care where JAS was in hospice. The Investigator spoke to a woman who identified herself as the manager, Chennea Sharise THOMPSON ([DOB REDACTED]), and sent her the Target CCTV image. Thompson said did not know the person in the image and said they weren't an employee at the business. When reviewing Speedway surveillance images the Investigator saw that the same suspect arrived as a passenger in a vehicle displaying MN license plates DAC089. The investigator sent THOMPSON Speedway images and asked if she recognized the vehicle or the suspect.
THOMPSON did not respond. The Investigator then called the registered owner of the vehicle, ST, who confirmed ownership and said that his wife, RT, works at the Brooklyn Park Suite Living. Target CCTV images showed that after the fraudulent Target transactions, the suspect left in a Ford Expedition that had a Dominos sign on top, which made the vehicle very unique. The Investigator then ran THOMPSON’s DVS photo and discovered that it was a match for the suspect. The Investigator drove to the Roseville Suite Living and saw the Ford Expedition with the Dominos sign on top parked in the lot (MN/SWK345). The vehicle registered to “RE” at [ADDRESS REDACTED] E in St. Paul, which was the same address that is on THOMPSON’s driver’s license.
The Investigator contacted THOMPSON’s direct supervisor at Suite Living and sent the supervisor Target and Speedway surveillance images. The supervisor confirmed that they were images of THOMPSON. Police took THOMPSON into custody on 3/17/26 at Roseville Suite Living. During a post-Miranda interview, THOMPSON said she always goes to the store for her residents and that she “didn't mean to use her card." THOMPSON said she didn’t give the card back to JAS because JAS had already died. THOMPSON then said that she “did use it one time without her permission.
And so I, I will agree to that." When asked what store THOMPSON went to to use JAS’ card, she said "I know Speedway for sure." 2 62-CR-26-1803 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 3/18/2026 THOMPSON claimed she went to Speedway for JAS and purchased Newport cigarettes for herself. She said that at Target she just "hit my wallet on top of the thing" and didn't "use [JAS’] card blunty." THOMPSON said that at Walgreens she purchased various body wash, shampoo and feminine hygiene products. She claimed all the items were for JAS but later said that the items had been "dispersed of". THOMPSON said she gave some items to other residents and took some items to her own home.
