On June 1, 2026, at approximately 5:22 P.M., Officer Marx of the Austin Police Department was dispatched to a possible domestic at a residence in the City of Austin, County of Mower. The reporting party (Victim A, an adult female) stated that she wanted to talk to an officer about domestic violence between she and her boyfriend, later identified as MA KEH, DOB/062105, the defendant herein. Officer Marx arrived at the residence and spoke with Victim A and her sister, E. S. P. (an adult female). Victim A told Marx that over the last couple of weeks, she and the defendant have been arguing non-stop.
Victim A stated that at times it has gotten physical and that she has been slapped and choked by the defendant. Victim A stated that on May 31, 2026, she was at the defendant’s house located at 1004 12th Avenue NW and they argued all night from midnight to 6:00 A.M. She stated that the argument was about infidelity. Victim A stated that during the argument, the defendant choked her. She said that after she was able to get him to stop, she went back to sleep and got up at approximately 5:00 P.M. Victim A said that when she woke up, they began arguing about her cell phone messages.
Victim A said the defendant then slapped her twice on both sides of her face and again choked her. Victim A said she could not remember which hand it was that the defendant slapped her with. She said he slapped her because she was being so quiet. Victim A described that while the defendant was choking her, she could barely breathe. Victim A said that the defendant was “cussing” her out while he was choking her and called her a “f****** ho” and a “piece of s***.” Victim A said that she was lying down and the defendant was on top of her choking her with his right hand.
Victim A said the choking lasted for ten to fifteen seconds. Victim A stated that she thought the defendant was going to kill her as she struggled to breath. Victim A said while he was choking her, the defendant looked very “demonic,” that his eyes were empty, and he had no emotions. Victim A said that she started kicking the defendant to get him to stop and get him off of her. Victim A said that when she was able to get the defendant to stop, he began punching her legs. Victim A stated that she had bruises on her legs from the punches.
Officer Marx also noticed that Victim A had bruising on the front of her throat, consistent with being choked by a right hand. Victim A said that she is now having trouble swallowing, that her injury is painful, and she is getting headaches. Mayo Ambulance was dispatched to the residence. Victim A told Officer Marx that this was not the first time she had been choked by the defendant and estimated that it had happened at least five other times. At times, Victim A was reluctant to give information to Marx.
Victim A told Marx that she was scared that the defendant would kill her as he has made that comment before. Officer Marx asked Victim A if she knew where the defendant was. Victim A stated she did not and pulled out her phone stating that the defendant had been messaging her while Marx was there. Victim A shared the messages with Marx. Marx observed that Victim A had stopped sharing her location with the defendant and the defendant was upset and asked why she had done that. Mayo Ambulance arrived and transported Victim A to the hospital.
