At around 11:25 AM on November 24, 2025, officers were sent to the Maryland Supermarket at [ADDRESS REDACTED] West, St. Paul, Ramsey County on a shooting. Callers reported hearing a series of gunshots. One caller guessed the shooting occurred near the Maryland Supermarket “as usual.” Officers found 8 spent silver 9mm casings near a green garbage dumpster to the west of [ADDRESS REDACTED] West. Officers found a spent brass casing and one live round to the east of [ADDRESS REDACTED] West. One witness told officers they heard gunshots.
The witness looked outside and saw a black sedan pick up a woman across from her house on Arundel Street. The woman heard another gunshot, and the black sedan fled the neighborhood. Officers spoke to TJ who said she and her boyfriend, DG, were sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot at [ADDRESS REDACTED] West when they were shot at. The driver’s side window shattered, and the driver’s door was also damaged by gunfire. A review of surveillance video showed a woman standing outside the driver’s door of TJ’s black sedan that was backed into a parking spot outside the Maryland Supermarket.
A man appeared by the green dumpster and fired at the black sedan. The person at the door ran around the car and fled into the store. TJ got out of the passenger seat and also ran into the store. DG drove off in the black sedan. The shooter by the green dumpster ran away. After being in the store for a few seconds, TJ exited and ran toward Arundel Street. TJ rounded the corner by the building and walked south on Arundel Street. DG turned around and drove towards where TJ walked out of camera view.
DAMYLO KERRELL BRANSON [DOB REDACTED] ran out of the supermarket towards Arundel Street. Branson fired a round at the fleeing sedan, and he chased after the car. About 50 seconds later, Branson returned to the parking lot in a Ford Edge bearing Minnesota license plates TJX965. The Edge is registered to Branson’s girlfriend, TC. Branson got out of the passenger seat and tried to get inside the store, but its doors were locked. Branson ran back to the Edge and fled the parking lot. Surveillance video from [ADDRESS REDACTED] West showed Branson and TC left together in the Edge on November 24, 2025. Branson wore the same clothes he wore at Maryland Supermarket.
Snapchat videos posted to Branson’s social media account showed him wearing the same black sweatshirt he wore during the shooting. On January 6, 2026, officers executed a search warrant at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. Officers arrested Branson at that location. Officers found a Glock handgun behind a radiator in Branson’s bedroom. Officers found two handgun magazines in a toilet tank. Officers found clothing Branson wore during the shooting during the search warrant. Branson was advised of his constitutional rights and agreed to speak to an investigator.
