On November 18, 2025, at approximately 10:00 P.M., Deputy Pike of the Mower County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence in the City of Lyle, County of Mower, for a report of an assault. The reporting party (Victim A, an adult female) stated that MICHAEL EDWARD BISHOP, DOB/091077, the defendant herein, had assaulted her. Deputy Pike made contact with Victim A. Victim A stated that earlier in the evening, she and her neighbor, the defendant, had driven to Austin, went to Walmart, and ate at Applebee’s. She later clarified that she and the defendant had a prior sexual encounter a few months ago, but stated that they are not in a relationship.
Victim A stated that while at the restaurant, the defendant became angry and caused a scene. She told the deputy that she decided that it was time to leave so they both got into Victim A’s vehicle, and she started to drive them home to Adams. While on the way to Adams, Victim A stated the defendant was verbally aggressive with her during the car ride until they exited Interstate 90 onto Highway 56 south. She stated the defendant became upset with one of his friends on the phone as he was unsuccessful in trying to obtain drugs.
Victim A stated that the defendant began hitting his phone on the passenger side window and dashboard as he became angrier. The defendant then made comments to Victim A about “taking her home and f&*king her c***” and “putting a baby in her.” Victim A said the defendant was screaming in her face obscenities. Victim A stated that while she was driving, the defendant began to grab her hand and elbowing her. At one point, the defendant grabbed her right hand and bit it approximately three times. Deputy Pike observed a red faded mark that resembled a bit mark.
Victim A later advised Det. Sorenson that the physical assault occurred after they exited Interstate 90 and were traveling on Highway 56 in the County of Mower. Victim A said that the defendant also put his hand down her shirt and pinched her nipple repeatedly. She later advised Det. Sorenson that he kept touching her bare breasts without her consent. She said he squeezed her nipples to the point of pain. She said that when she forcibly pulled his hands out of her shirt, he “latched” onto her nipples with his fingers.
She said he would not let go of her nipples. She said this was extremely painful and she verbally told him to stop hurting her. The defendant then told her she was “A little p*&sy and a little b*#ch.” Victim A explained that the defendant repeatedly molested her breasts in this manner all the way home. She said she told the defendant to stop multiple times. Victim A said the defendant also grabbed her neck/upper chest area which left a red scratch mark. Victim A said the defendant grabbed her throat once with his right hand and squeezed it to the point that she could not breathe.
