She said that she had to let go of the steering wheel to pull his hand off her neck. When she did this, the car nearly went off the road and crashed. While being choked, the defendant told Victim A, “oh you like that, you dirty little sl*t, don’t you.” Victim A also advised Det. Sorenson that during the ride home, the defendant also touched her vagina through her clothing. She said the defendant reached over and rubbed her vagina outside of her jeans with his hands. She said she told the defendant to stop every time he did this.
Victim A said the defendant also pulled her hair and shoved her head during the drive. The defendant would tell her, “you like that, you really like that” while pulling her hair. Victim A said she again told the defendant that he was hurting her and told him to stop. Victim A told Deputy Pike the defendant also kept grabbing the steering wheel of the car and jerk it so the 3 50-CR-25-2353 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 11/20/2025 car would swerve. Victim A said she was hoping there was going to be an officer somewhere between Applebee’s and her residence so that she would get pulled over so he would stop.
Victim A told Det. Sorenson that the defendant told her that he wanted her to crash the car because he wanted to die. She said while he was jerking the steering wheel, they were all over the road and she was afraid they were going to be in an accident. She said he interfered with her driving six or seven times during the ride home. Victim A said that once they got home, he got out of her vehicle, and she left immediately to go to a friend’s house where she contacted law enforcement. Deputy Pike and Deputy Mueller then went to the defendant’s residence located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Adams.
When asked about the evening, the defendant stated that he and Victim A went to Walmart and out to dinner at Applebee’s. When asked about the events that occurred during the car ride home, the defendant claimed to not remember doing anything. He stated that Victim A is a good neighbor and that he is sorry. The defendant did not specify what he was sorry for.
