On or about May 25, 2026, at approximately 7:26 a.m, Forest Lake Officers received a call from dispatch that a person was calling regarding a potential criminal sexual contact. Officer then called and spoke to Victim 1 ([DOB redacted]). In that conversation, Victim 1 reported that she had been sexually assaulted by her stepdad for the past 16 years. The stepdad was identified as Robert Edward Peisert (defendant), [DOB redacted]. Victim 1 then met with officers and gave a statement. In that statement she reported that defendant had been abusing her since she was 10 years old.
The first occurrence happened when she resided in a residence on 2nd Avenue SW, Forest Lake, Washington County, Minnesota. While at that residence, defendant had laid down next to her on a couch and he rubbed her vagina over her pants. The assaults continued repeatedly after that, When Victim 1 moved with her family and defendant to a residence off of Jewel Lane N., Forest Lake, Washington County, defendant had come home when Victim 1's mom was not home. Victim 1 was under the age of 14. Defendant approached Victim 1 and told her how pretty she was and he was attracted to her.
Defendant then pushed her down on her bed. Victim 1 kept saying no and that this is not right. As she got off the bed and ran towards the door the defendant grabbed her and pulled her to the floor. Defendant then took off her plants and inserted a perfume bottle into her vagina. The sexual assaults continued to escalate after that including intercourse with defendant penis. At 16 Victim 1 became pregnant. A subsequent paternity test showed that the Defendant was 100 billion times more likely to be the father of the child that was delivered in 2017. The last time Defendant approached Victim 1 with sexual intent was May 23, 2026 while Victim 1 was in her room and Defendant stood in her doorway and removed his erect penis from his underwear.
Victim 1 ignored him and he went away but apologized to her the next day. Defendant was interviewed after Victim 1 gave her statement and denied ever having any sexual contact with Victim 1. He current where abouts are unknown and there are concerns about self-harm. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE. FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR COURT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING IMPOSED AND PUNISHED AS PROVIDED IN MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 609.49.
