On December 1, 2025, law enforcement was dispatched to a burglary in progress on Jackson Avenue in the City of Lexington, Anoka County. Multiple callers were reporting a disturbance at the location, and it was reported that two suspects had fled the location and a vehicle was following them. The suspect vehicle was described as a Nissan Altima bearing license plate [PLATE REDACTED]. That vehicle was stopped by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office on 35E and only one occupant, the driver was inside of the vehicle.
That person was identified as the Defendant herein, TIMOTHY LANEL WILLIAMS [DOB REDACTED]. Through investigation, officers learned that a second male, Jonathan Dwight Howard, had been with the Defendant and they were observed outside of a residence on Jackson Avenue. Howard then kicked in a window of the residence, entered the residence where a person, AMS resides, who he is prohibited from having contact with via a domestic abuse no contact order in 02-CR-24-1294. That protected person was in the home and believed it was her ex-boyfriend.
A male who had been inside the residence prior to the window being broken, ALS, spoke with law enforcement. ALS advised he had been inside the residence with AMS when he heard someone banging on the window. ALS then went outside to confront whoever was outside and while he was going outside, he heard glass breaking. He then saw AMS running out of the residence, followed by a male who chased AMS the distance of a few houses. ALS yelled at the male to stop, who did eventually and then walked back to his car where he was met by another male who came from behind the residence.
The two men then left the area in the Nissan Altima. ALS ultimately followed the men in his own vehicle and reported the license plate to law enforcement. A mirandized statement was taken from the Defendant who acknowledged having driven Howard to the residence but claimed he didn’t know why they were there and stated Howard offered him $10 to drive him to the residence. Witnesses saw the Defendant outside of the residence alongside Howard. Officers observed blood droplets on the floor inside the residence and blood in the front seat passenger compartment of the Altima.
At one point in his statement, the Defendant acknowledged that Howard broke the window with “his hand his foot.” Despite knowing that Howard had just broken into a residence, the Defendant drove him away from the scene a significant distance. The Defendant then claimed to have kicked Howard out of the car on the side of the highway but claimed he didn’t know where. Officers placed the Defendant under arrest, and he was transported to the Anoka County Jail. For the duration of the transport to the jail, the Defendant was belligerent to the officer, calling him slurs and telling him he hoped his family died in a variety of ways.
