On October 18, 2025, Bloomington Police Officers responded to a burglary report at Acorn Mini Storage, 9100 Bloomington Freeway West, Bloomington, Hennepin County. The reporting party J. K., stated that his storage unit had been broken into. He arrived at his unit on October 17, 2025, and found his storage unit lock had been drilled out. J. K. Returned the following day on October 18 and found the lock had been replaced and drilled out a second time indicating someone had been to the storage unit in the last 24 hours.
J. K. Reported that approximately 90% of the storage unit items had been stolen including electronic items, a guitar, and bins of shoes and clothing. The bins were black plastic totes with yellow lids. The value of the items was approximately $3,000.00. The manager of the storage unit S. W. Reported that surveillance showed on October 17, 2025, at approximately 1825 hours, a white 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer with Minnesota License plate [PLATE REDACTED] use a pin number to gain access to the secure gate.
The pin number registered to a Clausen Construction business. Clausen Construction used a [DL# REDACTED] ending in 0615 and a date of birth of 9/24/1990 to rent a unit at Acorn Mini Storage. A male exited the Trailblazer wearing an orange sweatshirt with a circle emblem on the center of the chest. The male then walked in the opposite direction of his own unit and in the direction of J. K.'s storage unit. He then loaded multiple black bins with yellow lid storage bins onto a cart and then into the Trailblazer.
The Trailblazer and the same male were a suspect in two other burglaries. Bloomington Police case number 25010431 and 25010391. The male was eventually identified as the Defendant, JORDAN DUAINE CLAUSEN, Defendant herein. In case number 25010391 - the reporting party B. B. Stated that her storage unit at Cube Smart Storage, 1240 West 98th Street, Bloomington, Hennepin County, had been broken into on November 11, 2025. B. B. Was missing approximately $15,000 in shoes. Surveillance showed two males cut a hole in the fencing surrounding the building while wearing distinctive reflective jackets with writing on them.
The Trailblazer was then let in by opening the gate. In case number 25010431 - tied to the same incident in 25010391, Bloomington Officers responded to the same location for the same incident with 3 more reported storage units. The locks on the garage doors were removed and the garage doors lifted causing damage to the units and preventing the doors from closing. The cost to replace the storage unit garage doors is over $1000. T. A.'s storage unit had over $2,000 in ice fishing gear taken from the unit.
Later, he confirmed that a prescription bottle found in the Defendant's vehicle was his. K. C. And L. I. Also had their unit broken into. A PS5 and a 75-inch television were removed from the unit valued at $1,700. Carts of items were loaded into the Trailblazer and the vehicle left Cube Storage at 0227 hours. The Defendant and the Trailblazer were located by Woodbury Police at Plato's closet attempting to sell shoes. The Defendant was placed under arrest for active warrants. 4 27-CR-26-1348 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/16/2026 In a search of the Defendant's Trailblazer, Officers located: - the orange sweatshirt worn on the October 17, 2025, burglary. - the reflective jacket worn on the November 11, 2025, burglary. - several pairs of shoes belonging to B. B. - four crow bars. - a prescription medication bottle belonging to T. A. Who reported a burglary in case number 25010431. -.50 grams of FTP methamphetamine in a backpack with other items that belonged to the Defendant. - a guitar belonging to J. K. - US, Turkish, Nippo Ginko, and Guatemala Currency; and - several other miscellaneous items belonging to the units from all three burglaries.
