On September 28, 2025, at approximately 11:23 P.M., Hopkins Police Officers were dispatched to [ADDRESS REDACTED] in the City of Hopkins, Hennepin County, Minnesota, on a report by ERANDI PAULIN RODRIGUEZ RENTERIA, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, who stated she had been hit in the mouth and was waiting outside for officers. Upon arrival, Officers observed the apartment unit in complete disarray. The television and stand were knocked over and laying on the floor, there was trash everywhere and furniture had been tipped over.
Officer Malmstedt spoke with M. J., the victim herein, who lives in the unit alone. The victim stated that he and the defendant used to date but had broken up several months prior but were working on their relationship. On this evening, he and the defendant had been drinking. The victim stated he received a call from his female friend P. T. Which angered the defendant. The defendant took his phone and spoke with P. T. Asking P. T. To come to the apartment so they could all talk and sort out what was going on.
The victim stated that when the defendant was speaking to P. T., he went into the bedroom and laid on the bed. A short time later, P. T. Arrived, and the two females talked. The defendant and P. T. Entered the bedroom to confront the victim about talking with both women. The victim stated he left the bedroom and the defendant followed him, pushed him down and struck him in the head with a bottle. Sergeant Wilcox spoke with P. T. Who stated she used to date the victim, but they broke up a while ago.
P. T. Stated she received a CashApp request from the victim, so she contacted the victim [NAME REDACTED] was requesting money. While they were talking, P. T. Could hear a female in the background arguing with the victim. After P. T. And the victim [NAME REDACTED], the defendant called P. T. Asking P. T. To go to the victim’s apartment so they could talk and figure things out. P. T. Agreed and went to the victim’s apartment. Once at the residence, P. T. Began to speak to the victim [NAME REDACTED] in bed.
P. T. Stated the defendant entered the room and began to argue with the victim. The defendant was getting more upset and began to follow the victim around while arguing with him. P. T. Stated the defendant started pushing the victim and as the argument escalated, the defendant picked up a bottle and struck the victim in the head with it. The victim [NAME REDACTED] on the ground. The defendant began going around the apartment knocking things over and throwing stuff around. The victim got up off the floor and at some point, the defendant struck the victim [NAME REDACTED]. The victim then got physical with the defendant and choked the defendant.
Officer Harriman spoke with the defendant who stated she was dating the victim and believed they were exclusive. The defendant stated she and the victim had been drinking when a female called the victim, and the defendant got suspicious. The defendant stated she spoke with the female (P. T.) and ordered a taxi for P. T. To come over so they could discuss why the victim was talking with both women. When P. T. Arrived, they confronted the victim. As they argued, the victim stood up and pushed the defendant, so she pushed back.
