On September 1, 2025, at approximately 4:41 P.M., Crystal Police were dispatched to a vehicle theft report at the 5600 block of Twin Lake Terrace in Crystal, Hennepin County. Police spoke with the victim [NAME REDACTED]H. Who reported that he was selling a motorcycle on Facebook Marketplace. The victim told police a male showed up on foot or got dropped off at the house. At approximately 4:38 the male suspect took the motorcycle for a test drive and never returned. The victim provided police with a description of the male suspect and provided his Facebook profile, which was for a "Chuck Bishop" out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Upon further investigation the Facebook was determined to be a fake profile. Police entered the motorcycle as stolen and attached a photograph. On October 3, 2025, the stolen motorcycle was recovered in Salem, Indiana, after it was involved in an accident. The motorcycle was located with its keys and license plates, but the plates had been altered. The male found with the motorcycle was identified as CARL GUSTAF SEALANDER [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Defendant was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Minnesota but was released prior to police discovering the motorcycle was stolen.
Police later contacted the victim regarding the recovery of the motorcycle, and the victim [NAME REDACTED] was already aware someone was arrested. The victim [NAME REDACTED] Indiana arrest and confirmed that Defendant was the person he met with to sell the motorcycle that then drove off. Police compared the Indiana photograph to Minnesota records and found them to be the same person. At present, Defendant is not in custody. The State requests this case issue as a warrant as Defendant already has an outstanding warrant, his whereabouts are currently unknown and based on the facts of this case Defendant has demonstrated he will leave the State of Minnesota.
