On March 10, 2026, at 1920 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to 1871 7th Street, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a stabbing. Officer spoke to RCS, [DOB REDACTED]. Police documented stab wounds to his right shoulder, left pectoral, center of his back (x2), outside left elbow, and right foot. RCS said that he was sitting in a vehicle with his girlfriend, AMB, and his friend, HE. A male, later identified as Eugene Wilson, [DOB REDACTED], walked up and started looking into the windows of the vehicle.
RCS got out and confronted Wilson about looking into the vehicle. Wilson left but returned a short time later. He and Wilson started to fight. He slammed Wilson to the ground. Wilson pulled out a large fixed-blade hunting knife and started stabbing RCS. He kicked at Wilson, who cut his foot. HE attempted to take the knife from Wilson and received a cut to the hand. RCS, HE and AMB ran into 1871 7th Street and slammed the door. Wilson attempted to follow them, but he could not get inside. Officers later arrested Wilson in apartment 6 at 1863 7th Street They found a large fixed-blade knife inside the apartment.
The renter there stated that Wilson had the knife when he knocked on her door and came inside. He used her bathroom. HE gave an account consistent with RCS’s statement. He said he was grabbing Wilson’s knife to disarm him when he cut himself on the knife. In a post-Miranda interview, Wilson said he acted in self-defense. He said three people jumped him. He said he used a “box cutter” to defend himself. He said he did not remember stabbing anyone. He admitted that he called in a fake 911 call about shots being fired in a different area to avoid apprehension by the police.
Wilson has felony convictions for Domestic OFP Violation (2022) (x3); DANCO Violations (2019) (x2). He also has a Stalking conviction (gm)(2015).
