On November 17, 2025, Coon Rapids officers responded to a report from K. M. S. That two pressure washers, a 12-inch miter saw, and a saw stand were stolen from his storage unit at iStorage, [ADDRESS REDACTED] NW, Coon Rapids, Anoka County, MN. The total estimated value of the stolen items is about or between $2,500 and $4,500. The following day, K. M. S. Informed officers that he had found what he believed to be his pressure washers for sale on Facebook Marketplace by "Nate Holmes," who was later fully identified as NATHAN DANIEL HOLMES [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.
On December 11, 2025, Officer Carlson received phone records from TextNow for Defendant's phone number. The records show that on October 24, 2025, Defendant sent a message stating, "I have two super expensive pressure washers. Hit a lick [sic] on a storage unit last night." Immediately after, he sent a message that said, "Trying to move them incognito." The recipient of the messages responded with "Word," "Send pics," and "I'll post 'em on FB MP." Defendant indicated that he wanted to list them on Facebook Marketplace or pawn them.
Extracted data from Defendant's phone also included photographs of two pressure washers and a 12-inch miter saw mounted on an orange stand, which K. M. S. Confirmed were his. On December 17, 2025, after confirming Defendant rented his own storage unit at iStorage beginning October 21, 2025, just days before the burglary, officers executed a search warrant for his unit but did not find the stolen items. Later that same day, officers executed a search warrant at Defendant's residence on 89th Lane NE in Blaine.
The stolen items were not located, but Officer Carlson observed a rug, paint, and doors that matched those seen in photos posted by Defendant with his Facebook Marketplace listings. Following the execution of the warrants, Defendant contacted law enforcement and claimed to know the location of one of the stolen pressure washers. He claimed that an individual named "George Michael" had possession of it and that he had given his phone to that person. He provided no further assistance or follow-up information.
Defendant admitted knowing that stolen property was at his residence. Defendant has a pending felony criminal damage to property charge in 02-CR-25-7641, set for a Rule 5 first appearance on January 23, 2026, at 1:30pm. As of the filing of this complaint, Defendant is not in custody. The State is requesting a complaint summons and, if possible, to set this case for a Rule 5 on the same date and time as his other file.
