On November 22, 2025 at 5:27 pm Wright County Deputy Fobbe was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at COUNTY ROAD 31 SW / BROADWAY AVE S in the city of Cokato, Wright County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, Deputy Fobbe learned Christine Jeanette Gibson [DOB REDACTED] hereinafter the defendant had failed to yield to the right away and t-boned another vehicle. While the defendant was getting out of her vehicle Deputy Fobbe observed the defendant to use the car for balance. While speaking with the defendant Deputy Fobbe observed the defendant to be rocking onto the heels of her feet struggling to maintain her balance and had slurred speech.

The defendant explained she was on multiple prescription medications at the time and had most recently taken a Xanax around noon. The defendant agreed to do standardized field sobriety testing, several cues of impairment were observed. The defendant was arrested and a search warrant was approved and granted for the defendant’s blood or urine. The defendant agreed to provide a urine sample at the Buffalo ER. The defendant stated she needed her medications out of her car, while Deputy Fobbe was retrieving 2 bottles, she observed one of the bottle to have the prescription label to be scratched off and there to be multiple different medications in both of the bottles.

While using pill finder Deputy Fobbe identified 6 smalls blue pills to be Xanax. Xanax fall into a Schedule IV controlled substance. The defendant has a prior DWI conviction from May 8, 2019 in file ••-CR-••-••••.
