A hobble restraint was used, and he was transported to the Wright County Jail. It should be noted that the male refused to provide his name throughout the entire incident. Upon arrival at the Jail, Correctional Officer Ramsey opened the squad door and recognized the male as VICTOR SASHA CANTU, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the defendant, who had been released from custody earlier that same day. CO Ramsey directed the defendant to step out of the squad and he said "no ". CO Ramsey explained that the defendant would be forcefully taken out of the squad if he did not comply in which he said "then f****** do it". CO Ramsey pulled him out and the defendant lunged at him, headbutting CO Ramsey in the left temple. 3 86-CR-25-6918 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 11/19/2025 Due to the bite wounds to their hands, Officer Cargill and Sergeant Lillehei went to the Buffalo ER. Officer Cargill was given a tetanus shot and an x-ray, which was negative for any bone break, but showed "a tiny corticated density based of the fifth proximal phalanx, chronic appearing." He was also given antibiotics to take for a few days, and the wound was bandaged.
Sergeant Lillehei also went to the ER to get checked out for his bite wound.
